Complete darkness surrounds the land.
The air is thick and heavy.
Out of the dark foreboding comes a shimmering hope of light.
The expanse of the reseeding black night transforms into rich shades of purple hue.
The silvery topped trees stand tall and still.
The air starts to stir, rustles and wakes the leaves.
The trees quietly creak and moan as they spread out their long branches.
Black little eyes dart open and begin to blink.
Silence is broken by the musical chords of songbirds.
Dark purple gives way and fades to a hazy pink.
Continuing to peek out from its resting place, a warm glow emerges victoriously.
The celestial orb has awoken.
Stretching forth its golden rays as it slowly crawls across the valley devouring up the last bits of night.
Dawn has broken.
