Adam's Birthday

I am playing catch up... These pictures were taken November 4th, 2008.

Rebekah and Lily are writing letters to their daddy to hook onto balloons to send into the air.

Lily is putting stickers on the note.

Rebekah looking at stickers.

Still working on their letters. They took a long time, wanting to make them just perfect. :-)

Lily making a face and she chooses a Pikachu sticker.

Rebekah looking over her note to Adam.

Lily and Rebekah with the balloons. If you will notice, there are a LOT of balloons. Originally we were only getting one balloon each to tie our letters too, but we used full sized paper and with the amount of stickers, the balloons just sank to the ground. So we bought a bunch more balloons.

Lily is pointing to the purple balloon she picked for daddy (look at the previous picture to see it). Rebekah chose the purple Happy Birthday balloon. And yes, that is a Happy Valentine's Day balloon you see. I picked that one out because Adam and I were married on Valentine's Day.

Me, Lily, and Rebekah all getting ready to release the balloons.

The girls kissing the balloons they chose specifically for their daddy. That way they could send him their kisses too.

The girls getting ready to let the balloons go.

The balloons on their way up, up, up and away....

When we were at the store (Robert's Crafts) I let the girls pick out one small present for themselves in honor of their daddy's birthday. They chose rabbit skin/fur. (yes, it is real)

Lily and Rebekah being silly and wearing the fur on their heads.

Over all, the day went really well. I am glad we did the balloon thing. I copied our letters before we released them but I don't feel like posting there here. But I kept the copies for posterity.

Happy Birthday Adam

Lily's 8th Party

My little Lily turned 8! Can you believe it?

Lily wanted a Halloween Birthday Party since the party was just after Halloween. She had her friends dress up in their Halloween costumes and we did Halloween stuff. Here is her cake.

Lily and some of her friends making haunted houses out of graham crackers.

Rebekah wondering where the white part of the candy corn went.

The kids playing a Halloween game I made.

Lily really liked this present

Lily loves kitties, in case you didn't know...

Lily got a tiny life-like feeling kitty toy.

Lily laughing at everyone being silly while singing.

Blowing out the candles.

This picture cracks me up. I don't know if you can tell, but the girl in the blue dress is making a fun face because the girl on the right with the witch costume was pretending to flick food at her.

Lily putting the finishing touches on her haunted house.

My little chocolate-faced girlie.

Why does this face not surprise me??

Lily doing her funny face.

Here are some of the girls showing off their creations!

Now that Lily is 8, she will be getting baptized soon. She can't wait! It is hard for me to realize that she is 8 - time has flown so fast...

I love you Lily! Happy Birthday!
